NCC chaps are against the 50% + 1 and the running mate idea and they are also pushing to have president a degree hoder to block Sata.This is not good for Zambia

with a 50% + 1 vote clause in the new constitution i would expect the MMD under rupiah Bwezani Banda to win by landslide for the following reasons.The pact is not likely to field one canditae and if it does with sata as the leader then southern province with about 600,000 voters will vote MMD. if HH is the candidate then copperbelt and Northern will go MMD. Already with the aquital of FTJ, chiefs in luapula are declaring no go Area for the opposition. The full FTJ and Katumbi machinery will in 2011 camp in luapula a typical strong hold for PF to give the pact a fight in their own home while MMD is comfortably seated in its strong holds.With the current financial crisis the opposition will have very little funds to fight a combined machinery of RB, FTJ and the Katumbis.
