Mansa MMD cadres match for Chiluba
Hundreds of people have staged a solidarity match in Mansa in support of the acquittal of second republican President Frederick Chiluba.
People drawn from all the districts in the province matched from Mansa Milling on Chembe road to the provincial headquarters.
The women and men, clad in MMD Chitenge materials, carried placards with messages in support of Dr. Chiluba’s acquittal.
The protestors were later addressed by MMD chairman, Michael Mabenga and Deputy National Secretary, Jeff Kaande.
Dr. Chiluba was acquitted recently on charges of theft of public funds amounting to $500,000 dollars.
His acquittal has been received with mixed reactions, with some sections of society urging the state to appeal against the court judgement.

Very few MMD cadres attended the so called demo. Only a staged one and paying a few cadres. FTJ can come from Luapula but he should know that the tubulus are very independent in their political analysis. He commands no respect and he should not take anyone for granted irrespective of where one comes from. If anything, I was in Mansa and he is the last one anyone can listen to as the masses think of him as an opportunist who is like a political prostitute. When it suits him he supports today PF, 2moro MMD, next week UPND,..PF???

Even at Road blocks when they had got Kaka some Policemen could not see him because they had clothes on. How about his BOSS? If you wanted FTJ to be Jailed you should have told the Judge and Mutembo Nchito to go to court naked all the time during trial and on Judgment day. Fred Mmembe and Kabwela should also have been driving around naked if they wanted us to see their stories from their angle but they didn’t and the man is innocent. You were not trying Chiluba in that court but his shadow. Now you see what’s happening? I hear Mr. Sata went berserk when he read that there was a demonstration in Chiluba’s favor in Mansa. In addition, Immediately after we heard OF THE Mansa Milling fiasco-in which Teta was the main player-next we heard he was vacuumed to RSA tomorrow we have a National Day of morning. In court during the Chiluba trials, one of the Luapula old men told of the prosecutor “Ukafwa ubwiminine”literally meaning “you’ll all die while standing?” Since then we have lost many important anti Chiluba leaders in very suspicious circumstances. But let’s wait to see if this prophecy is still going on. Don’t play with ba tubulu guys!!! They are Bad!!! As for me I dont have to worry-I like the guys from Luapula. We all know what Mabenga did to the CDF funds in Sesheke. But before people forget, Kaande was also implicated in the case of bogus payments at the Ministry of Home Affairs. So, who is cheating who? Ikalenifye guys. Truly, crooks are re-grouping and will come back with a vengeance. Whereas they stole from the till, this time around they will even steal the till.

Jeff kande and Mabenga are not in Mansa as govnt officials but as officials of MMD and as such they must engange in serious politics in Mansa because thats what the MMD NEC expects of them.let us learn to seperate Govnt activities and political party activities.The PF/UPND should as well do the same by sending their officals and Campaign funds that every party must have to Mansa and campaign for the pact. complaining everyday about campaign corruption has never worked because its almost impossible to draw a line between the use of PF/UPND/MMD Campaign funds and Corruption.

(ii)”Jeff Kande was altering suppliers invoice amounts for payments so that the excess goes to MMD via ministry of home affairs” there is no such a case at any court registry in this country.Before suppliers are given contracts they submitt profoma invoices and later final invoices and delivery notices as they wait for payment. How can jeff Kande temper with these invoices when each supplier produces his own documentation at his own time.If you beleive that Jeff Kande authored those invoices and delivery notices then take him to court. Lets not mix politics and business. what i was tryn to enlighten you in my blog was a political strategy and not charecter assassination strategies that dont even work.

There goes luapula province. Whether we like it or not politics in Zambia and everywhere else in the world is regional. Each particular agenda must resonate with a particular region and every political party must be able to identify individuals of high status and organisation skills in each region to propund the agenda in that partucular region. If you cant have a Danniel Munkombwe in southern Province then forget the southern vote,If you cant have RB in the east then forget the east Vote, If you cant have Sata on your side then forget the Northern and CB vote, if you cant have a Mabenga in the west forget the western vote, If you cant have Teta(MHSRIP) in N/west you wld have to call back Kavindele and so if you cant have a vote in luapula call FTJ and the katumbi machinery just like you need George SC for the central vote. The Americans dont like the word regionalism and prefer phrases such as southern states,blue states, Hispanic block, blue collar vote, Minority vote and the Black vote. The question therefore is what is the oppostion doing to counter these developments? they have formed a Pact, in that pact HH is good agent for the southern vote though danniel Munkombwe has kept him off his comfort seat of late, Sata is a Good agent for Northern and CB unfortunately FJT seems to be keeping him busy in those regions even when he hasnt been their since the acquital. Failure by the opposition to identify good political agents in the East, West, N/west, Lusaka rural, luapula, Central will surely cost them Another election. 2011 will not be a Mwanawasa election of divisions within the rulling. This will be an election against a highly polically organised MMD with all political heavy waits on one side. This is a game that RB knows better than Economics.
