Culture is more than Kuomboka, Mutomboko, Kulamba, Ncwala. It is the whole way of life of a people from the food they eat to how they socialise on a daily basis.

True and wisely said Ba Chiti Mukulu'.We have a duty to both ourselves and to our offspring to preserve and enrichen our cultures whether Bemba or others.
The Bazungu previuosly refferred to the cultural events as primitive and barbaric.
We persevered and are now drawing the same colonialists in droves as Tourists to our ceremonies.
Heads of state from neighbouring countries too are learning from our preserved cultures!

Iwe Mwinelubemba, your job is to practice the cultur, let the media report what you are doing. Its not your job to point out their 'deficiencies', did you run out of what to say?

Although I'm not Bemba myself, I support the research and promotion of our cultural heritage as Zambia. I fully support what Mwinelubemba has said. I know a lot of Bemba friends who don't even know much about where they came from culturally. We have a great wealth of traditional ceremonies in this country but what do you see many times? Journalists rushing in to cover speeches and rushing out again. We are not doing ourselves justice. So the Chitimukulu has a very valid point. Zambia must value culture and basically all traditional ceremonies are now part of our cultural heritage as a country and so deserve more attention and documentation. Bravo Mwinelubemba!

I like what Mwinelubemba said, "research on the culture of the Bemba." when he was calling on media practitionaers. When this is done the country will know who is bemba and who is not. We have alot of people misusing the bemba name for their own inferio cover up. Let the truth be known...
