Zambians talk so much and when it comes to doing the right things, you do very very strange things and one wonders. when you come to my house and you find things are wrong you should blame me as the head of the house. The buck stops at the head.

I don't believe it is the chinese only to blame. This is a ZESCO project. ZESCO draw up the conditions under which the contract is being executed and they're obviously monitoring as well as having their staff on the project for knowledge transfer. Why did ZESCO allow the contractor to work in substandard conditions? Chinese products that you get depend on what you as a customer wants. In USA, you only find good quality chinese goods because that country only wants such.

When i saw the fire on the news my first reaction was "Chinese!" and sure enough i later found out that it was a chinese firm. I have worked with them on some project so i know first hand. tho they are cheap they are more expensive in that their work is of poor quality. and the worst thing is we are giving them big and sensitive contracts. how many zambians should die before we realise that we are wasting money with these chinese? is a zambians life worth that little?
