Zambia sends more soldiers to Sudan
Three hundred and 45 Zambian soldiers have left for Sudan for peace keeping duties.
The soldiers had a farewell parade in Lusaka before departure.
And speaking when he officiated at the parade, Defence Minister Kalombo Mwansa, praised Zambian troops for their exemplary behavior while on peace keeping missions abroad.
Dr. Mwansa said Zambian soldiers have performed well from the time the country started participating in peace keeping missions.
The minister urged the troops to continue observing high standards of discipline.
And Zambia Army Commander General, Isaac Chisuzi, warned that cases of indiscipline will not be tolerated.
The troops have been drawn from all wings of the security forces, namely the Zambia Army, Zambia Airforce, Zambia National Service and the Zambia Police service.
