An orbituary. Some people you only hear about when they are dead and gone. Others you hear about, should be dead and gone. It is a great pity that hundreds of Zambians very well qualified to do their jobs have not been so well recognised in their own back yards. As long as we cannot celebrate each others’ achievements, we will continue to have a brain drain. The human brain is expansive and loves to be challenged and not stiffled. Some may dwell where mediocrity abounds but others pray and aim for higher ground. Let it be, but do not pull them down to the gutter where you are comfortable.
