Veteran / Senior Citizen, will you ever stop making comments that are out of context? You are the kinds of Zambians that are likely to trigger civil war in Zambia. HH, Sata and their parties are not your enemies; they are your opponents. Treat them with respect the same wya you treat Rupiah Banda and other MMD leaders. Try to be civil. Remember, it doesn't matter how much you bark, Zambians will vote according to their perception of whether or not Rupiah is delivering on their needs and expectations. How come you have never made any meaningfu contribution to the blogs on which you frequent? Try and contribute an idea that will benefit those of your fellow citizens who are wallowing in abject poverty.

The Catholic must stop wasting their time on regional parties but follow exactly the examplary wisdom of reconcilliation RB has demonstrated.

CATHOLIC CLERGY CALL FOR RESOLUTION OF 'STRAINED' RELATIONS

The Association of Zambian Catholic Clergy has said there is need to resolve the perceived strained relationship between the church and government through dialogue and reconciliation.

Association national president, FR Cletus Mwila, told Southern Province Minister, Daniel Munkombwe in Choma Saturday night during a discussion forum dubbed 'A call to unity and reconciliation' organized by Caritas Monze Catholic diocese, that perceived differences between government and the church could be resolved through reconciliation.

Fr Mwila said issues that needed to be resolved included the perceived disrespect towards government by some members of the clergy. He said the differences could be sorted out, but emphasized the need for dialogue and reconciliation.

He said some of the statements attacking government had been made in the individual capacities of the priests as they did not represent the collective view of the church. He said because the constituency of the church was the same as that of government, time had come to resolve issues that were affecting the relationships of the two parties.

Fr Mwila said the church was ready to work with government, but stated that it would not compromise its stance on the Gospel.Fr Mwila said the church was concerned with issues bordering on governance such as the recent violence that rocked the just ended Solwezi parliamentary by-election.

He said the church is also worried at levels of funding to the health and education sectors as well as the distribution of farming inputs and the crop marketing arrangements.

And Fr Mwila has said regionalism has become a serious threat to Zambia's unity and reconciliation. He said regionalism is when the unity of purpose in the nation is broken into protectionism as opposed to the common good.

Fr Mwila said the nation had fallen into politics of self-interest that served personalities and not the nation. And Southern Province Minister, Daniel Munkombwe, urged the Catholic Church to intensify the preaching of peace and reconciliation in the nation.Mr Munkombwe said the tribal politics that had rocked the country were a source of worry.

His Excellency President Rupiah Banda is a seasoned top Diplomat who thrives in dignifying dialogue. This is why he served with distinction at the United Nations and as President of Namibia. The power of Diplomacy is in perfected dispute resolutions and conflict management skills.RB and his diplomatic etiquettes doesn’t build his leadership on thuggery and sensationalism as Sata and HH.

Is it a surprise that the man is always smiling, calm and steadfast? He is a top educated diplomat and economist who understands political theatrics in the case of shifting variables, and mastering Game theory be it in scenarios of prisoner dilemma.Watch the space.

Ask yourself which party has executives full of criminal records? And didn't your party just fire its Western brothers for opposing no convention issue? Even the so called reconcialition is the last kick of an already dead horse. Its too late ba veteran. I can tell you that western province is already pro-pact. Just wait for announcements soon.
