Zambian envoy in India dies
First Secretary Political and Administration at the Zambian High Commission in India, Masugzo Kaonga has died.
Disclosing the development in a statement to ZANIS, today, First Secretary for Press Bwalya Nondo said the late Kaonga died in the early hours of yesterday in New Delhi.
Mr Nondo said the late Diplomat has had a kidney problem and was due to undergo a kidney transplant next week.
Acting Zambian High Commissioner to India Brig. Gen. Allan Kalebuka said the death of Mr. Kaonga came as a shock. This is because, only the previous day, the deceased was energetic and contributed constructively, to a management meeting.
Gen.Kalebuka said Zambia has lost a dynamic and diligent young diplomat whose services will be missed greatly.
The late Kaonga is survived by a wife and four children. His remains will be repatriated to Zambia tomorrow, for burial.

If he is the masugyo I know. He is not that old. He is probably 39. He fished secondary school in 1989 and proceeded to campus in 1990.So hold fire

The Gamino says we need young healthy zEDIANS IN THESE DIPLOMATIC PLACES. As Mongu resident i support him and a point further, we need a list of everybody in foreign missions and what their role is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Where do we get such info. cos. iam overseas (Country witheld, i dont know who does what at the Zanbian Embassy, at the same time iam trated like trash at their offices, it pains me as Zedian nad yet Iam doing higher studies , tell me what will make me not apply for a Job in another country ( Of which iam surte i will be accepted but on the expense of Z Brain drain?))
RB should appoint young energetic diplomats, many young proffessionals who have done diplomacy at ZIDIS. MHSRIP
