RB to spend Xmas in Mfuwe
President Rupiah Banda is expected in Luanshya on Tuesday to officially re-open the Luanshya Copper Mine -LCM- which has been bought by a new investor.
The LCM was placed under care and maintenance by previous owners before being sold to China Non-Ferrous Metals Corporation.
The mine has created about 2000 jobs for local people.
And President Banda is on Wednesday expected to travel to Eastern Province where he will officially open a technical and Vocational college in Chipata.
State House Press Aide, Dickson Jere, says while in the area President Banda will also flag off the construction of the Chipata -Mfuwe road.
The President will spend Christmas in Mfuwe where he is also expected to hold meetings with various groups on a number of national issues.

The groups are animal groups to discuss what to do with the monkeys from the NORTH which are a symbol of Sata. The eastern rats are discussing what punishment can be met on the kanitundilas.

I Can see you are keen in developing eastern province as you are every other moment in and out of your province. Lelya, Mfuwe in the KK era was famous because each time (almost) KK would make a cabinet reshuffle or h would make some big announcement!

Is Mfuwe a presidential getaway, I know Mwanawasa too spent a lot of time there. It seems its like its Zambia’s version of the United States’ Camp David, must be a beautiful place.
