RB in Eastern Province to mourn MP

President Rupiah Banda is  in Eastern Province to attend the burial of Milanzi MP Reuben Banda who died in Lusaka on Friday last week.

President Banda is accompanied by First Lady Thandiwe Banda and landed in Mfuwe from  South Africa.

The President was in Ethiopia where he attended the African Union Summit before flying to South Africa for medical checkup.

Mr. Banda described the passing on of Mr. Banda as a great loss to the nation because he was a humble and dedicated worker.

He urged MMD members in the province to remain united as they mourn the late MP who died at University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka following injuries sustained during a road traffic accident.

President Banda cautioned MPs to drive with care as many lives have been lost in the recent past due to road traffic accidents in the country.

Mr. Banda was welcomed by MMD National Secretary Katele Kalumba, Home Affairs Minister Lameck Mangani, Eastern Province Minister Isaac Banda, senior government officials and MMD Party cadres.

The late Mr. Banda would be put to rest at his village in Milanzi Constituency in Chief Kawaza’s chiefdom in Katete District today.

Our trainee pilot President? Am sure by the time he will be leaving office he would have done the required air miles to be a commercial pilot. He’s an embarrassment to those who voted for him, the villagers.

    Comment.
Still to this day the leaders of Zambia still use foreign doctors for check ups.
Still consider Zambian doctors and hospitals USELESS and not worth using.
I guess this is why Rupiah never bothers to use them.
He does not think about the people who CAN’T travel to S.A for treatments.
