HH has abandoned Mazoka’s ideals-Kunda

Vice President George Kunda has accused opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) leader, Hakainde Hichilema of gagging the party’s original philosophy of inclusiveness and non-tribalism stance.
Mr. Kunda said Mr. Hichilema’s going into a political pact with the Patriotic Front (PF) was against the ideals on which late UPND president Anderson Mazoka formed the party.
“When the late Mazoka formed the UPND, it was represented by all tribes, it had a national agenda but HH is selling the party for silver,” he said.
He said PF president, Michael Sata, with whom Mr. Hichilema has entered into a pact, was supporting tribalism as evidenced in the last Kasama parliamentary by-election campaigns where he (Sata) allegedly declared that his candidate should be supported and voted for because he comes from Kasama.
“Hakainde Hichilema is not a tribalist, but why has he gone into a pact with a self-confessed tribalist?” he asked.
Mr. Kunda was speaking when he addressed a public rally in Chisamba today.
He appealed to UPND Members of Parliament (MPs) not to allow their party to lose the ideology it had at its formation.
“Tribalism is illegal in this country. So I am appealing to MPs in the UPND to kick HH out if he is misleading the party,” he said.
The Vice President disclosed that many members and sympathizers of the UPND have noted the differences in the UPND-PF pact and were therefore leaving it to join the MMD.
“Thousands of Zambians have seen the evil in the UPND-PF pact and so they are moving out. By 2011, the pact will be a shell,” he told the rally.
Mr. Kunda has unlike the pact, President Rupiah Banda was promoting love and non-tribalism.
He said the party had a bright future and hence should be supported by all Zambians.
He said government, under the MMD has performed very well in the education, health and agriculture sectors by building more schools, health centres and creating a fertilizer support programme for farmers.

there’s something seriously wrong in this country. how can kunda who’s good friend stole mazoka’s victory be defending his legacy. he’s veep today as a consequence of that fraud. then on the opposite side people who were opposed to levy are now champions of his legacy. only in zed can such happen
Ba George before you speak please hear yourself speaking. It seems you are really still hurting from the Solwezi and Kasama disasters. Let them not confuse you too much. Concentrate on maintaining the perpetual disaster called the MMD.
CRAZY GEORGE, since when did your role be one of worrying about UPND/PF and not the disasters brought on the Zambian people by your failed MMD govt? What do you have to show after 20 years in power???? It seems you are really worried about UPND & PF than the real needs of suffering Zambian masses. Kuyabebele- through the ballot or otherwise! Honestly,UPND wasn’t Mazoka and Mazoka wasn’t UPND.Yes he was president but he did not own UPND.The persona cult in Africa has messed up institutions.The institution is bigger than the individual.HH should be allowed to have his own style of leadership guided by the UPND manifesto.First,you said UPND only consisted of southerners,now the guy has joined forces with PF,you still say,he’s tribal.Isn’t RB who was fired by KK at NAMBOARD.KK and RB are in-laws,so for him to have had RB get fired meant,the tribalism was beyond.You George and Mwanawasa were partners coz you both from the Lamba-lala block-isn’t that being tribal??

Whose abandoning whose legacy? You think if LPM were alive Mateyo, FTJ, All the Generals would be walking freely and boasting about their crimes? You think Raja would dare respond? You think Kapoko would have still being going to draw money from Finance Bank and Miti still out free?

There are very few people who believe that HH has added any value UPND.GK is very right.He has been a national diappointment to those who know how the party was run during Mazoka’s time. Even in the pact he will still offer the worst leadership.
Following “Hakainde Hichilema is not a tribalist, but why has he gone into a pact with a self-confessed tribalist?” from Mr Minister of justice and Vice President George Kunda, I am glad that someone in GRZ has released information to the whole Zambian nation that UPND president HH is not a tribalist but that Mr PF self-appointed leader is a TRIBALIST. To this effect, I challenge Mr PF leader to defend himself from the self-tribalist position that he holds with regard to Mr G. Kunda’s sentiments to the whole world.
Have a blessed day all as we await the PF-UPND PACT and hopefully with the backing of Mr first President of Zambia KK to announce that UPND president and PF-UPND PACT presidential candidate to be is the PACT’s presidential candidate for 2011 Zambian Presidency elections.

GK is right. How can HH partner with MC who is disjointed. I was listening to MC on radio the other day. At one point he talking about Zamtel, before he finishes, he goes to the colonists, before finishing this point to NCC, point he finishes,,talks about a degree and then from nowhere starts talking about pants.
HH has really lost it.
It looks Kunda loves UPND why not just resign and join mighty UPND? We agree with Mr Kunda as UPND members we feel cheated by our leader by joining the pact, time wil tell how long shall we pretend that all is well in the Pact. observers and steakholders are watching the happenings in the Pact with eagle’s eye.
Indeed,it looks like Kunda loves the UPND & the ideals on which it was formed under the leadership of Mazoka.
I wouldn’t be surprised if one Goerge Kunda defects to the UPND. lol
