‘MMD won’t let UPND grab Mufumbwe’
The ruling MMD says it is wishful thinking for United Party for National Development (UPND) president, Hikainde Hichilema to claim that his party will scoop the Mufumbwe parliamentary seat.
MMD elections chairperson, Mike Mulongoti told QFM in an interview that the people of Mufumbwe are in a better position to state who they want to vote for as their new Member of Parliament and not the UPND leader.
Mr. Mulongoti who is also works and supply minister stated that the ruling party will not stand idle and watch while the UPND grabs the Mufumbwe seat from party.
He said MMD will put up a spirited fight to ensure that it retains the Munfumbwe parliamentary seat.
He said UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema should not get too excited and optimistic of scooping the Mufumbwe seat.
Mr Mulongoti said the MMD is still the most popular party in the country and has the capability to retain all the vacant parliamentary seats.
The Mufumbwe parliamentary seat fell vacant after the death of MMD Member of Parliament Misheck Bonshe.

According to the POST Newspaper of today, the close-to-Youth-Zambian-political-party President of Zambia hopeful HH (Hakainde Hichilema) has gained ground and is making head way to become Zambian President by God’s grace.
This is evidenced on the ground and also in the media where “According to the situation we found the UPND has gained ground and we should expect another embarrassment like what happened in Solwezi. So, we are really worried as a party about what will happen in Mufumbwe” appeared in today’s POST Newspaper.

Thats a very fun way of reasoning. So just because he is the former rebel son then he wins. Just because Tilyenji is the son of a former freedopm fighter then he wins. Then it could have been very easy to win elections. We could have just been looking at who’s father was who. Then we have it. But its not like that. This is a double thing and it can go either way. Whatever the case, the mighty UPND is ready to grab the Mufumbwe MP seat and I will support the UPND with a hope that it will transform Zambians’ lives in Mufumbwe and elsewhere across the country.
At this juncture, shall I remind you all of the nice words “The Kapwepwe group dubbed the opponents, the Ngoni-Lozi alliance as intellectuals and alleged that they were CIA agents and the Kamanga group responded by accusing the Bemb-Tonga alliance of having sold out to the communists” from the POST Newpspaper of 7th March 2010.
This clearly indicates that Bembas and mighty Tongas have worked together in the past and can do it better in this present time contrary to the MMD’s claims.
Do not lose heart and protect the PACT’s leadership of president HH for Zambia’s betterment.

Solwezi was difficult to grab from MMD considering the investment which is in Solwezi.But for Mufumbwe the battle will be crucial.

The way he ascended to power and everything is a proper exhibit of tribalism. And I briefly thought he was a changed man coz I never though he would insult.
