Clear incapable of mustering a meaningful campaign, PF firstly through the POST have turned to the Roman Catholic Priests thinking they offer a legitimate moral platform.

In the recent past the Roman Catholic Church has been rocked with scandals involving the sexual abuse of children in as many countries as Mexico, Brazil, USA, Australia, Netherlands, Germany and currently Ireland. Millions of children have been abused by these Roman Catholic Priests. Turn any headline news you will find this.

It is unbelievable then that here in Zambia the Catholic Priests despite their world wide tainted image portray a holier than thou attitude. It is an open secret, to use Telesphore Mpundu’s language, that many of these Zambian Fathers are engaged in heinous sexual misconduct activities which if investigated will expose a huge scandal.

A few women who have absconded their vows as nuns have told stories of goings on at the seminaries and convents and have broken the secret oaths to reveal the sexual immorality taking place in these ‘havens’. Priests have the ‘privilege’ to request for favours from nuns and the nuns are specifically encouraged to cede to the Priest advances. Indeed the superior mothers are even approached by the priests to scold the non givers. The hopeless women are cowed to keep quiet threatened by forced secrecy oaths.

A few former nuns have revealed the despicable goings on in these Roman Catholic Havens. Now to suppose that they (Roman Catholic Priests) are the custodians of morality in Zambia is simply to be out of touch with reality. Many of our children are abused by these wicked priests and it is time that even here in Africa the story should begin to be told.

We don’t have the avenues that our colleagues in the Western world have to be able to free up those that have been abused by these priests to come out in the open to share their stories. Worse the cultural norms in Africa allow for stigmatization of those that may be willing to reveal the story of their abuse. Culture is that veil that has helped to hide this abuse in Africa. But it is time that things changed.

The open threats that this Bishop of Lusaka was able to blurt out is a product of the assumed power influence they have grown to believe they yield. A priest openly defending infidelity did not care to think that his moral perspectives would be in the spot light but relied on his assumed high influence to make scathing, un Christian attacks on government. That is the same spirit they continue to pepertuate sexual abuse of Children not only out their in the rest of the world but here at home as well.

I feel sorry for the Catholic Church in Zambia and world over.

Very soon all will understand the scriptures in 2 Thessalonians 2 which warn all serious Christians about those who fake to be God's followers when they are carrying out the devil's activities.

Have a blessed day.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added

In as much as the church should be praying for the political leaders, they also have a duty to point out the wrongs of the Govt. References are plenty in the Bible where priests would point out the wrongs of those charged with governance. David was rebuked for sleeping with another man's wife, John the Baptist was beheaded for being a thorn in the flesh of Herald, and there are other numerous such incidences in the Old Testament. So, it is very repugnant for this man to suggest that church leaders be hermits who should just focus on prayer.

If it comes to investment, it will take years for any other church to equal what the Catholics have done. Other genuine churches do not advertise their achievements either. Look at the 7th Day Adventists... When the Church saw the issues of the 1st republic, it stood up and achieved its duty to speak for the oppressed. The current regime knows too well the power of the church because, remember, RB was a pure UNIPst. So does it surprise you when you see so much propaganda against the Catholics. The government wants the Church to practice the Karl Max described church which is meant to put us to sleep as it feasts. Change or Die hungry. The choice is yours!

Alistoto,

Ala ichishinka chilakalipa mune.Tell me why Father Bwalya,Augustine Mwewa, Simon Kabanda and ba Mpundu bene are PF cadres? Unfortunately, those who have formed "some" political party 96% dominated in leadership by our very own natives have done and keep doing so with recklessness and blatant abuse of the Bemba name.Fwebena lubemba we are tired of seeing our identity abused by outcasts from some satelite tribes.

They have mischeviously called Mazoka's party a tonga party, Mwanawasa a ifitundu President, Kaunda a Malawian, Chiluba a Zairean and RB a Ngoni President. When they need political opportunities they have tried to use the bemba native by planting hatred that respective regimes are calling us stinking, that they are persecuting those who have been found wanting because they are bembas.

The bemba tribe has been abused and its time to tell off these masquarading power chasers that they are not bembas but abusers of our honorable identity. These priests all from our tribe and cadres rallying around these masquaraders are enemies of our bemba community. Our silence of tolerating this outright abuse manifest that we are losers. We have allowed ifinangwa to abuse and exploit our identity in their quest for power even when we know they are total moral and constitutional hazards merely entraping our people in infinity poverty and wishwash.

Its time credible people are found to competitively pitch up at national level on issues than tribal groupings merely abusing the our honorable and socially responsible bemba name.

Fr Bwalya declared that he has 'stopped praying for government' contrary to what many people say the bible commands. One wonders if the chap even bothers to pray at all, if he can put his tribe above his faith he clearly is a lost soul....
