What started as a lonely fight against Kalushya Bwalya by Amakumbi Stars proprietor, Simataa Simataa has escalated into a full blown crisis culminating into some premier league teams boycotting certain scheduled matches. When FAZ Vice President Emmanuel Munaile led some committee members into resignation as Executive Committee members, Kalusha extinguished the smoldering rebellion by appointing and co-opting their replacements.
However Kalushya’s measures were immediately dashed when hidden forces were exposed immediately defense forces football clubs were given instructions to escalate the crisis to what it has become. What started has an opposition ploy to take over key institutions such FAZ and other NGOs as Zambia heads towards elections achieved a new high with initial plotters smiling sitting back as they saw the crisis escalate to proportions they could never have achieved. Now they can plot the next stage. Who takes over FAZ?
But what brought the crisis? Is it the corruption as alleged by Simataa Simataa? Is it the financial deals such as the Super Sport Deal which saw some individuals sidelined? What is at play?
