Policeman charged with treason over Barotseland

A Lusaka Police officer has been charged with treason for allegedly agitating for the secession of Western Province. Maybin Mubita Sikwa of House Number 156 Chelston Police camp was arrested on 16th January, 2011. Police have arrested 131 people among them leaders of the Barotse Patriotic Front in Connections with the riots that rocked Mongu Districts over the Barotse Agreement of 1964.
