Particulars of the offence are that the trio jointly and whilst acting together made three sketches of the Zambia Army Arrakan Barracks and ZAF headquarters City Airport Air Base entrances and the Zambia Army Battle Training Area at Mikango Barracks, which are protected areas, things which might be intended to be directly or indirectly useful to a foreign power or disaffected person.
The offence is alleged to have been committed between October 6 and October 12 in Lusaka.

Experts and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have objected to Ngandu being Governor as his pedigree is low and he is not qualified to hold such a position. Ngandu, who is an industrial psychologist by training, previously worked for ZCCM and Barclays Bank as a Human Resource officer. He later worked for the National Savings Credit Bank (NSCB) as Chief Executive Officer.

Ngandu later worked for the Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ) as Chief Executive Officer but was fired by late President Mwanawasa for his alleged corrupt dealings in relations to loans given shady companies.

As opposed to trends during the struggle, our post-independence era has witnessed more young people being relegated to the backwaters of decision-making in both political parties and government. Furthermore, the numbers of young people participating in key decision-making positions have continued to dwindle. Instead of being prepared for leadership, youths are being used as political vuvuzelas.
