Lozis refuse to sing Zambia National Anthem during Barotse council

The people of Western province this morning refused to sing the Zambia National Anthem when they opened their much talked about meeting in Mongu.
The delegates led by their Prime Minister Clement Sinyinda instead sand the Barotse Nartional anthem in Lozi.
No reason was given for not singing the official national anthem although the PG government minster for Western province was in attendance. He was just blinking in apparent confusion.
Meanwhile, the resolutions of the Barotse National Council will be sent to the United Nationa, African Union and other countries with the PF government getting a courtesy copy.
And the Barotseland Prime minister Clement Sinyinda has said that enough is enough.
When he officially opened the meeting, Sinyinda said:
“We have been insulted enough, ridiculed enough, teased enough, mocked enough, dribbled enough, used enough, hurt enough, misunderstood enough, marginalised enough, sidelined enough, victimised enough, neglected enough, tossed back and forth enough, subjugated enough, segregated enough, mistreated enough, and we must put this to an end,” .
He warned that the peaceful nature of the people in the area should not be mistaken for lack of courage to do what was right for the people of Barosteland.
The Ngambela stressed that things will never be the same for the people of Barotseland especially after the on-going watershed BNC meeting and has since challenged delegates to participate freely on the decisions and resolutions from all parts of the province.
He said delegates should strive at harmonising the different diverse and competing views in order to come up with a cohesive and focused position to present to Zambia and the world as a whole.
Quoting US President Barrack Obama, Ngambela Sinyinda said change for the people of Barotseland will not come if they wait for someone or any other time.
He said people of Barotseland were waiting for themselves because they are the change they want.
The Ngambela told the gathering that now was the time for the people of Barotseland to make very difficult choices and take crucial decisions.
“We are the ones to make the choices and decisions and this is the time to do so. We can no longer wait for other people or time,” he said.
He said he had faith in the capacity of the people of Western province to be united and rally behind the genuine and legitimate cause.
Meanwhile, the Ngambela has disclosed that unknown people were distributing a speech purportedly authored by him for presentation at the on-going BNC where he allegedly was inciting violence in the area.
He said such moves will not in any way swat the people of the area to engage in violent activities.
Ngambela Sinyinda said whoever was behind the plans should stop because the moves will not divide the people in the area.
Chiefs from Southern Province include Senior Chief Mukuni, Chief Chikanta, Chief Macha and Chief Sinazongwe.
