RB back in Zambia

Former president Rupiah Banda has returned to Zambia. Banda arrived in Lusaka Thursday evening from Lesotho where he was leading a team of elections observers. Banda has been based in USA where he is a guest lecturer at the Boston University. It is not yet clear when or whether he is returning to USA.

DHL employees in Kitwe have downed tools, demanding a pay increase. A check by Flava FM News at DHL Kitwe Offices found gates locked and placard stuck up reading we are closed until further notice. Employees talked to said the strike was called after their employer failed to implement a new pay structure two weeks [...]

There was commotion at Chadiza Day Secondary school this morning when a mentally retarded young man strayed into school premises naked and started breaking window panes. Former President Rupiah Banda’s son Andrew has been arrested by the Joint Government Investigative Wings for alleged corrupt practices involving over 170 Million Kwacha.
