RB takes early lead in Mumbwa, Nakonde

President Rupiah Banda has taken an early lead in three wards that were counted by 23 hours in Mumbwa central constituency.

A very reliable source who is present at the counting centers said President Banda got 220 votes at Nambala ward followed By Hakainde Hichilema with 115. PF’S Michael Sata got 21 votes.

The trend in the Wintinti and Mumbwa castle wards was the same with MMD parliamentary candidate Brian Chituwo also taking an early lead.

Votes from dozens of wards in the constituency were yet to be counted.

Unofficial but final results In Nakonde at katongo poling station in ilonga ward, president Banda got 212, Charles Milupi 01, General Miyanda 0, Elias Chipimo 01, Ngandu Magande 01, Michael Sata 135, Tilyenji Kaunda, 02 Hakainde Hichilema 04, Fred Mtesa 00. Eleven ballots were rejected.

In Isonda ward at Shiwale community school still in Nakonde constituency,the PF got 73 votes,  MMD got 127, while UPND polled 5.  ZED and NAREP both got 1 each while others didn’t get any votes.

  3. We don’t care whether we put a goat or monkey in state House. All we want is change. Twenty (20) years for MMD is too much. When we decided to be a Multipaty state we did not say MMD should rule forever.We appreciate every good things MMD has done but time for them to go has come.Personally I don’t hate RB, It’s MMD I hate.

  4. Ba Slimmie, the problem with you PF carders is you think that your votes carry more weight than the votes of those who didnt vote for sata. Well Im sorry to disappoint you but each person’s vote is the same as the next person’s. You better start accepting that even here in lusaka there are pipo like me who didnt vote for sata and my vote is going to make rb win. so dont kid yourself about rigging as if there are no other zambians who are anti-sata the same way you are anti-rb; we are there and proudly so. Cant be ruled by a kaponya please. You try rioting, the police are waiting to feast on you….

  12. Iwe spiderman if you think HH is under 5 its bcos umost pf cadres like dont reason.jst support blindly. Sata eqaully is outdated, overgrown. Maybe u dont know when a person grows old they start behaving like a child and thats what u see in sata. To be honest with u am not a staunch supporter of politics but i vote and i dont hate sata but i strongly feel he is not a presidential material. One big problem with him which..he is not humble and if you kow what the bible talks about humbleness then judge for yourself
