Chama North Member of Parliament Darious Mumba says he will not appeal against the nullification of his seat by the High Court on April 2nd this year.
Mumba said he has since instructed his lawyers to file a notice in the Supreme Court not to go ahead with the appeal.
Yet, he told ZANIS in Chama that media reports indicating that he was one of the seven MMD Members of Parliament who will appeal against the nullification of their seats in the Supreme Court were misleading.
He explained that he had no intentions to appeal against the court’s decision adding that he has since resigned from the opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) to join the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).
Mr. Mumba said his lawyer will also officially write to the National Assembly, his former party the MMD and the Electoral Commission of Zambia over the latest development so that the seat can be declared vacant and a date of the by-election set.
And Muchinga province PF chairman and Chama district party chairman Jairos Goma said Mr. Mumba was welcome to the ruling party.
Mr. Goma said the ruling party was ready for the by-election following Mr. Mumbas decision not to appeal against his nullified seat.
These where the last elections with nabantu bakudala they not principled at all,pls HH & CHIPIMO ma votes yapwalala get organised.

Why can’t Sengas show these fools that they aren’t for sale? So Fred Mmembes former journalist succesfully petitioned? I pray that people of Kambomboo, Tembwe, chikwa refuse these corrupt manouvres. The money that will be spent on the bye election is enough to even tar the Lundazi-Chama road or build another secondary school or hospital. Why should money be wasted like this surely???

The man was found guilty of corruption and is running to the “allergic to corruption” party. “In the Chama North petition, Justice Sitali said Mr Mumba is guilty of corrupt practices because he distributed mattresses, bicycles and money to the electorate to induce them to vote for him.”

All these idiots who come to us the electorates asking for our votes should stop being called Politicians. They are just Vipuba Idiots and dont qualify to be addressed as politicians.
Genuine Politicians are much more honourable than these Idiots. It is behaviour like this which makes soldiers think that they are just being abused by their leaders and hence resort to overthrowing govts.

Dada, mwanaga (Tumbuka for:Daddy you have spoiled it). Did you really believe in the MMD manifesto, or in anything for that matter; or you were just looking for poverty aleviation? Abanesu ku UK and America, philosophy/belief/positions over life’s challenges run inthe family over centuries, unlike here where by the time one dies, one would have been a member of all the political parties, including those yet unformed! We Africans, I don’t know what is wrong with us. We move with the wind; no scrupples; so easy to influence with a bun, chitumbuwa or castle laager/chibuku/tukolyo-kolyo/misana ya nkhuku!!!!!
