Sata opts for colonial office at State House, abandons presidential room

President Michael Sata has reportedly abandoned the usual presidential office that has been used by all Zambian presidents opting to use the one slightly upstairs that was once used by the last Northern Rhodesia Governor, Sir. Evelyn Hone.

Sources from State House said they are surprised that Mr. Sata has abandoned the presidential office and has moved to the colonial governor’s office at State House that has never been used by any Zambian president before.

State Houses sources are wondering what that interprets to or what Mr. Sata fears in the office that has been used by Kenneth Kaunda, Late Frederick Chiluba, late Levy Mwanawasa, and Rupiah Banda.

  2. Bravo Mr President Bravo Mr. Sata , This Shows that he is not a racist already we have a white Vice President Guy Scott , Secondly the situation just remains the same the Whole State House is Colonial. The only Problem in Zambia is that you easily go witchcraftwise basing you assumptions on baseless grounds , by the way Sata a Chatholic , If he had problems with say “Haunting” the Chatholic Priests are Good at Exocism, So One Time – Kukatafia ka devil.

Last but not least Good Move Mister President, maybe by changing rooms and seats you will not forget the poor Zambians and also avoid those rats (Vi-Mbeba) Left by RB.

  4. The location of an office is inconsequential.

what matters is whether the work is done. Katele did work from a hut when he was on the run.

  18. Unless the Presidential Office at State House is under renovation, it is folly of the President to break with tradition. Imagine the French President moving out of The “Salon doré” (Golden Room), or the US President shifting from the Oval Office. Am sure there is a logical explaination for this action, unless the ‘Butcher of Chawama’ is up to his usual insanity.

  22. Every Why has a wherefore… That’s what makes this news worthy. Unless critics are saying he is an impulsive person who makes decisions without reasons. Remember these institutions go by precedent so when one breaks the precedent, there is need for people to be curious

    • I agree with you entirely because we need to be curious everytime something out of the ordinary happens in our country. We should never lose our curiosity. It is what keeps our minds agile. The shallow thinkers’ minds or those minds that lack analytical thought go to sleep.

As a president with the kind of power only next to God, u wud think the one thing different he wud want to do wud be something for the good of all Zambians such as has never been done by all former presidents.
