The Drug Enforcement Commission has arrested PF music director Dandy crazy who resides Kitwe for trafficking in cannabis.
Drug Enforcement Commission,Public Relations Officer, Samuel Silomba said in a statement that: “Moses Wesley Chibamba, 36, popularly known as ‘Dandy Crazy’ a musician residing at house No. 4817 Ndeke village, Kitwe, had been arrested for trafficking in 14g of cannabis concealed in the pocket of his trousers and also in the compartment of his unregistered Toyota Progress which had since been seized by the Commission. The suspect was apprehended in Luanshya, on the Copperbelt Province.”
Chibamba is the musician who composed the pro-corruption song ‘Donchi Kubeba’ which is the official song for the PF.
Dandy crazy was even honoured by president Michael Sata in his first independence celebrations when he won elections.
Ba DEC you don’t have something else to do what is 14g plz leave Dandy alone do you know pf first take your time

These two (Dandy Crazy & Sata) smoked together hence the honour he got in Sata’s first independence celebrations as president of Zambia.
The chap was arrested for trafficking but the truth is that considering the quantity, the cannabis was for his intake (smoking).
President Sata including the whole PF hierarchy know that the idiot smokes cannabis no wonder they smokers adopted him as their musician with his signature tune “DONCH KUBEBA”.
Teach him a lesson DEC. You arrest citizens that are caught with even smaller quantities of cannabis.
Set a precedence and put and end to these so called celebrities abusing cannabis that they have taken as a stage booster.
We will follow this case and if the idiot will be given simple imprisonment and community service then it will not be fair for villagers that are sent to jail just for being in possession of a few grams.
Justice must prevail and the idiot must go to jail to act as a deterrent to would be offenders.

“donchi kubeba” was not pro-corruption. It was infact a counter or response to MMD corruption, buying the poor and illiterates with sweets and vitenge.
Moriss - March 9, 2013

“Pro corruption”? That’s not journalism guys, that’s an opinion, and an unsupported one at that. Marijuana is not without risks (impaired driving, addiction) but it pales compared to most other substances, especially alcohol (which is far worse than many other substances that are banned).

Please all those supporting the use of weed, remember what God says about our bodies? Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, God is spirit and therefore dwells in us. If you smoke weed, then you re clearly defiling the temple of God. So, let DEC continue to arrest all weed traffickers/Consumers.

Mbanje even traditionally is not fully embraced in our society. If it is found on people (role models) like him, it is sending a bad precedent to the youth of today. Just look at the influence of sagging trousers, ear rings (trade mark of most of these artists) on the youth of this generation. But am not sure justice to society will be delivered in the case. He will be set free to continue with the trade and habit

dats how the law interprets possession of such quantities of ganja. Unfortunately we have MPs who simply vote on foreign designed laws, our MPs’ jobs (sometimes) is simply to adopt. How can 14g be termed “traficking…..”!!!!!

The case reflects where the gentleman comes from. He is the main supplier of the staff to the bosses. Can’t you see how the bosses behave. He was even honoured, because of efficiency in the way he provided the supplies in good time for the bosses to get all those illutions. He is not alone. Vote Pa FWAKA Boat.

There are so many secrets in this country and the earth will come to an end without them being uncovered. Only to the unfortunate who are caught goes the national blame. Think twice about YOUR OWN secrets as an individual, your friend’s secrets and our secrets as a nation.Brothers and sisters let us just overload all our troubles to the almighty God the father of our redeemer to help us carry our heavy Zambia.

shushushu - March 8, 2013
00:44
No…how can you equate marijuana and panadol? Or are you saying that both are medicines? Anyway, I’d say 14 grams is about 14-28 sessions of smoking with one other person. With two other people, it could be closer to ten. Really, personal use can vary a lot, as a with any drug (including alcohol). It’s only half an ounce, which would just be a violation (similar to a traffic ticket) in some U.S. states (not including those where it has been legalized completely).
