Catholic Priests in Mongu also refute Post Newspaper story

These are the screaming lies

Catholic Priests of  Mungu Diocese have also dismissed as total fabrication a report by the Post newspaper that the Litunga told them that he is against secession.

The Bartose Royal Establisment has already rubbished the story and has threated to take measures against the journalist whose name was put as the author.

In a press statement issued late Saturday by  Fr.James Connoly,  the Vicar General of Mungu Diocese and Fr. Gregory Nyambe the chairperson priests’Diocese , the priests said that the issue of secession was not even mentioned at the meeting.

They said they wished through the press statement to ‘correct the impression created by the story carried by the Post News Paper purporting that the issue of secession featured in our meeting with the Litunga and the Kuta.’

The priests stated that the correct facts and position are that, ‘as Catholic Priests of Mungu Dioces, we acknowledge that we met with the Limulunga and the Kuta on Wednesday November 21st,2012 from 15:00hrs-17:00hrs.This was at the invitation of the  Kuta.

‘The reason for the invitation was for the Kuta to Brief the Clergy on issues surrounding the resignation of the former Ngambela Mr.Clement Wainyae Sinyinda.’

During the meeting, said the priests, ‘we the Clergy gave spiritual support and assured the Litunga of our prayers for him and for all the people of his Kingdom.’
‘Thus we would like to categorically state in no uncertain terms that at no stage during the meeting did the Kuta state that they are against the resolutions of the Barotse National Council-BNC.’

‘In this regard, the story carried by The Post News Paper dated 23rd November,2012 under the headline I NEVER SUPORTED SECESSION-Litunga, is a total Fabrication and misrepresentation of the correct senario..

The priests advised journalists at the Post newspaper that it’s important that they check their facts and present them factually as possible.

It’s not from without that people are hooked to the post. Don’t you remember the satanic link exposed by Chanda Chimba. Only true believers can escape the post addiction.

  2. Sachi  November 26, 2012 at 06:39

I believe the Litunga no longer stays in Mongu, He lives in Kabwe.

  3. likaki nyau nyau  November 26, 2012 at 04:41

YOU PEOPLE WILL SPEND all YOUR TALK TIME ARGUING UNNECESSARILY. WHY NOT JUST ASK TWO QUESTIONS:

    1. WHERS ARE THE SIGNED MINUTES OF THE MEETING AND WHAT IS RECORDED THEREIN.

    2. CAN THE VOICE RECORDER SECRETELY USED BY ONE CLERGYMAN IN THE MEETING BE PLAYED BACK TO KNOW WHAT WAS TALKED ABOUT.

The Litunga must make a statement on his position to avoud his subjects speculating. The clergyman should also be brave and play that tape

    • Kantolo  November 26, 2012 at 06:44

Iwe the Litunga does not talk anyhow…which minutes do you want? Was there a minute taker in that meeting? Even the Post were not in that meeting…they just rely on sources which often tell them lies.

If there is anyone out there who still has doubts about Mr Michael Mulenga Chilufya Sata’s insane state of mind, they can only be Bemba! These Central African will vote for anything, even a dead man, as long as he or she is Bemba. I mean, Chama Chakomboka was clearly senile and yet he curved out more votes in the Northern caucases than Inonge and Gwendoline. There is nothing more than this tribal bigotry and stinking thieving ways that pose the gravest threat to Zambia’s contunued existence as one nation. Lies too, just how Sata thinks he can rule us on a diet of lies vexes me deeply.

    • Chinokole  November 26, 2012 at 06:57

Shocking statement, can only come from a bitter man. Get over it and move on. You will from from depression.

    • Timbalife  November 27, 2012 at 16:32

Gwendoline was Bemba, a pure Bemba so what reason do you give for her getting less votes than Chama Chakomoka??

  26. zoids  November 25, 2012 at 08:41

Is it desperation on the part of post due to low sales to start fabricating stories?let them go back back to a weekly if they dont have capacity to publish credible stories.

  27. Boer based in Lusaka  November 25, 2012 at 08:38

People of the EAST, you need to form a pressure group to campaign for the speedy development of your province. The Bemba-speaking areas of Zambia (Northern, Luapula & the fake Muchinga) joined hands to take over the leadership of this country like they did in 1968 (away from Kamanga to Kapwepwe) and 1991 (away from our Malawian KK to Chiluba).

You need to ressurrect UMODZI KU M’MAWA, not for the purposes of seccession, but to pressurise SATA for more development of the East: Sata is planning to build 4 universities in Bembaland and NOTHING in the EAST!

  28. Fayaman  November 25, 2012 at 07:56

The post has been lying ever Levy Mwanawasa’s time and th@ is the time i stopped buyin it. To believe th@ the post has been guiding Zambia is simply acknoledging th@ zambia is fool of misguided citizens.T his is what us the pipo of Barotseland are saying no to it. We are too educated to be misguided by a grsde 7 and the post which is now lying deeper.VIVA BAROTSELAND.

In field(mungu) after our research only to find that the story was total man staged by government, to interupt countries which were about to officially announce there recognition of Barotseland Royal Kingdom. Panic is allover zambian govt as the issue has now reached climax. At first it was better as lozis were only asking for the honouring of BA64 which is now NULL and VOID.

Imwe bantu what do you expect from a paper that thrives on Propaganda? The Post uses WHITEWASH headings and if you are unable to read between the lines you get trapped in their (Post Newspaper)lies.Ba Post spare us from useless propaganda.Tell us on the following:
1.What is Judge chikopa still doing in Zambia?
2.Why did the PF govt reduce the price of cotton by 50% thereby frustrating our cotton farmers in Eastern Province. This changed the Partriotic Front acrynomy to PAYA FARMER(PF)
3.Tell us why we have fuel and mealie meal shortages in some parts of the country.
Tell us why Kapoko was dubiously acquited.
4.Tell us whether its true Madam Kaseba briefly “abandoned” her home because of jelousy(Nsanje or Ubufuuba)over Sata’s and Inutu’s affair.
5.Tell us why Masumba is not suspended from Ministrial duties despite a court case hang on his back.
6.Tell us what is happening to 14 billon kwacha owed to DBZ by well known Three MUsKTEERS.
7.Tell us why the three referral hospitals-UTH,NDOLA and KITWE CENTRAL Hospitals have inadequte drugs(except panadol)and poor water reticulation.
    I rest my case.

Western Provine should not agitate for secessin instead ask for development.Govt should also listen to areas that are complaining about under development.Eg North Western Province,Western Province. Western Province is for the idea of going it alone because of the deaf ear they have been given by Govts. No roads,no Schools,no Health fascilities, no tertiary learning instituitions,no industries etc, etc. lol.

THE BIG QUESTION IS: DOES THE LITUNGA SUPPORT SECESSION OF BAROTSELAND FROM ZAMBIA?

    • Kay Love  November 25, 2012 at 04:13

It is not secession but reverting back to the original status.
The Litunga approved the BNC ressolutions of reverting Barotseland to its original existance, hence the devorce of the now null and void BA 64. The seperation is on of freeing Barotseland as a right of self determination in line with the postiliminium doctrine. The UN convention on Human Rights, 1970.
The marriage has failed, devorcing was the last option and final way of ending this BA 64 impase.

  39. bazamuka  November 25, 2012 at 02:53

I for one don’t support seccession but the post should be proffesional. Anyway I stopped buying it some time back and I don’t regret.

  40. SEMEKI  November 25, 2012 at 01:03

Post Newspaper must be sued because this is theft by public servant. They have stolen money from us who bought the paper because of false information. How long will this paper be tolerated? These are issues which can not be condoned for. I am disappointed by what this paper carries without rebuking it.

If this continues, the post shall bring anarchy and confusions in the country in future.

    • Sena  November 25, 2012 at 01:11

Can now this government take them to court for failing to tell the truth?
No one want to see Zambia being divided but united, but this is not the case. What is all about unity and reconciliation through cheating then? Is it Fred Meembe or Winter Kabimba who is misleading the Nation? Many people are reading the post and not only Zambians but like this, will you be called good paper when there are full of lies? Whom do you want to please? You have stolen money from the public because of publishing false information which people have followed blindly.

The president even going up to an extent of wasting resources for nothing that that the Litunga is protected by sending jets? We must be serious please and we must be ashamed of this monkey tricks.

  41. SEMEKI  November 25, 2012 at 00:53

Please where are my comments. I know you have swallowed it up. Bakabolala with your Post Newspaper.

  42. Nyambe  November 25, 2012 at 00:49

Please Zambian forgive these post guys they are making money through their lies but i only hope the Editor will work on his mistakes start giving people correct information. As for the people of barotseland should make sure that young man Habalu is brought to book i understand that he is our tribe cousin, but what he has done is beyond a joke this boy started his job of being a reporter at radio liseli meaning he has been in barotseland for more than five years and expecting him to have adopted fully the life style, culture and tradition of he lozi people after all this issue is not about other people s land. Not bemba, tonga, luvale, lamba, nyanja lands but just for what belongs to them why putting it into politics or even using bad terms lets lean to behave as mature. Please may that man how likes insults to change his character so as to let our children not to grow up with insult in their mouth.

  43. Michael Chilufya Mumembe  November 24, 2012 at 22:47

1- I remember Sata having said he had no time to waste on the Litunga because the Litunga was just a simple chief like any other chief. What has changed now that the same Sata is wasting his time to talk about the Litunga and is ready to waste his time in order to protect the Litunga from his own people?
2- Did the Litunga receive 42 billion kwacha from the government? Can the Kuta comment on this, please.
3- This story is a shame to the Post. M’embe should know that he is a subject of the Litunga and as such he should respect his King. Writing such stories won’t divert the attention of the Zambian people on the 14 billion kwacha. Mumembe and Mutembo Nchito should pay back our money!

  44. Time Saver  November 24, 2012 at 22:33

  46. Maurice Pelekelo  November 24, 2012 at 22:10

For us,we knew the story was just a fabricated dung aimed at creating a rift between the Litunga and his people. But shame on M’membe, the chief propagandist. Am sure by this time he has just been blinking like a wizard caught naked. Shame!

  47. liontoothpick  November 24, 2012 at 21:56

Please the post be as professional as you possibly can. You have been guiding us through and through for a long time and we have been follwoig your advice. Can you please stop employing unqualified people like from, is it from ‘Normajin’ like the author who wrote the story. Its disturbing to some of us who thought you were professional. We do not support seccession but this unprofessional reporting will make me stop buying your paper. Can you retract your editorial statement?

  48. Lyelela Lyambai  November 24, 2012 at 21:46

This is hardly news seeing as though they have been lying since they got into bed with Ukwa so as not to pay back the nkongole they owe to the now starving Zambian people some of whom stupidly believed the lies they peddled.

  49. Lwalwa  November 24, 2012 at 21:40
