Just before he was chased, Mwamba posted on his FACEBOOK account some information claiming that president Michael Sata lashed out at vice-presidetn Guy Scott. See the message at the end of this article.
And president Mmichal Sata allegedely revoked the national wide broadcasting licences Mwamba has given to some radio stations in the few weeks he has been at the ministry.
Sources say Sata has surrendered Mwamba to cabinet office and asked them to find him some position.
A journalist working for Zambian News and Information Services Wamunyima Muwana has replaced Mwamba.
The Watchdog has consitently advised Mwamba to take it easy.
From the time he joined PF, Mwamba has beeen tossed to and fro. He was first given a job as PS for Northern province but, moved to Eastern Province within a few months. In Eastern province he sojourned for just a few weeks before he was told to go and work in Barotseland. He was a few weeks ago moved from Bartoseland to the ministry of Information where he decided to grow big headed and fight everyone. He fired two journalists working for Times of Zambia and blocked minister of Justice Wynter Kabimmba from coverage.
MWAMBA POSTED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE ON HIS FACEBOOK ACCOUNT TODAY IN THE MORNING:
At a pre-cabinet meeting today, His Excellency, President Michael Chilufya Sata castigated Vice President, Dr. Guy Scott for issuing a statement through his Deputy Minister in South Africa glorifying the purchase of second hand vehicles. He also blamed ZRA officials for misleading Minister of Finance over the issuance of a statutory instrument that lifted 10% export duty and allowed export of copper concentrates. “You cannot export soil” “. ” we need to create jobs”. And President Sata directed Permanent Secretary, Emmanuel Mwamba to revoke nationwide licenses issued especially to non- christian missionary stations. He singled out Radio Phoenix which he said is keenly used by the opposition and especially that it has sold some of its shareholding to a foreign entity.

In his speech, he urged young people not to erode the gains and sacrifices made by miners (in relation to the mine issue) and freedom fighters.

And speaking to the press after the per cabinet meeting, Mr. Mwamba said that the IBA will convene an urgent Licencing Committee Meeting to urgently resolve the concerns raised by the President. He said the issuance of nationwide licence that might be affected will be Radio Phoenix and QFM.
