Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba has been accused of grabbing and selling land belonging to the Zambia Army in Kanyama area of Lusaka.

According to sources in the army, Mwamba has grabbed the land which the army was planning to construct a stadium on.

The land is located behind Orthodox Church in Kanyama’s Garden House area. It is big enough to accommodate 10 football pitches.

The land is currently being demarcated by PF cadres who say they have been given by Mwamba. The PF cadres claim that Mwamba told them to build a school and a clinic at the same land.

But further information indicates that even the cadres are in for a rude shock as Mwamba has sold the land to some businessmen.
