Islamic Council of Zambia says it’s not part of Al-Qaeda

The Islamic Council of Zambia has denied accusations that it is linked to international terror organizations.

The Islamic Council was commenting on a recent local media publication that stated that it is linked to the Al Qaeda network.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka on Sunday, Islamic Council of Zambia Spokesperson Siddique Kaputula challenged the people involved to substantiate claims that the council is involved in terror activities.

He also urged government to enforce   investigative wings to probe the group behind the publication of the article.
