Link Zambia? 90 days? no its pave Zambia promise this time

After failing to fulfill numerous campaign promises, dictatorn Michael Sata has announced more plans in the hope of creating the jobs his Patriotic Front government failed to provide in the 90 days campaign message.

This time Sata is announcing Pave Zambia 2000 which he promises will create jobs for Zambians in the road and construction sector.

Below is a statement from State House which claimss 12,850 jobs have been creaated so far.

PRESIDENT SATA ON NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

LUSAKA, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 – His Excellency, Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata, President of the Republic of Zambia, says Government will this year accelerate the implementation of the industrialization and job creation strategy.

President Sata says the plan is aimed at transforming the economy with the centre of attention being on sectors with high employment creation potential such as agriculture, tourism, construction and manufacturing.

“These sectors have the highest requirement for labour and labour intensive projects as well as the potential to be highly competitive and thus encourage growth, employment, value addition and ultimately expand the country’s economic base,” the Head of State says.

In this regard, the PF Government will soon launch the Pave Zambia 2000, which is the first of its kind and scale in Zambia. The central aim of Pave Zambia 2000 project is employment creation and full repair of major urban roads countrywide.

The project encompasses segmented paving and cobbles of approximately 2000 kilometers of urban roads which are in poor condition requiring rehabilitation in all the 10 provinces.

President Sata underscores the Government’s desire and resolve to improve the road infrastructure through the implementation of the on-going Link Zambia 8000 road project in the country as enshrined in the PF manifesto. To date about 12,850 road sector jobs have been created countrywide.

The Head of State expressed confidence that his administration is on course in implementing campaign promises.

President Sata reiterated the Government’s commitment to creating a better Zambia for all by providing inspirational and visionary leadership to the nation and promoting inclusive governance.

Government’s role is not to put nshima in people’s mouths. It’s to create an enabling environment for hard-workers to cease opportunities and benefit from them. Myself i am a beneficiary of the PF government creation of more districts. May i say those who can’t see jobs are foolish blind people who are expecting the creator to shout from heaven that my child here is a job for you!!! Government everywhere is looking for people with right qualifications but the numbers coming forward are just too minimal. Open your eyes and see…..

Useless statement like this one will not provide food for Zambians, any way this act of desperation to paint a picture of things improving is in line with PF manifesto of dullness.

Court Room: I find you Zambia guilty of having put wrong people in office. It is also true that you were cheated by tricksters with a high propensity of lies, however as an adult of 48 yrs I, and the rest of the world expects you to make mature judgement in such matters. I therefore sentence you to five years of more lies and tricks without human rights. You’re only free to appeal in 2016 on a date to be announced by the tricksters. Mpu mpu mpu court rise!

Its becoming extremly difficult to see hope in these promises mweee. Atleast with RB the Formula 1 roads are visible, with our man it was a university in Luapula, another 1 in Barotseland, a stadium in Namushakende, link 8000 and the chiyawa road now it the pave 2000 all of which have not taken off just like the once upon 90 days promises.

How can he say ..’country’s economic base,” the Head of State says’….within the statement from the so called head of state?

The head of state says within the same statement purpoted to have been said by the head of state…so who said the rest of the statement?

    • blago  January 17, 2013 at 17:47

What do you expect from retards?

  19. Donor  January 17, 2013 at 17:10

That is a plan for his bid for 2016. He mobilized wusakile residents to start campaigning. In due time he will start saying “I need to finish Link Zambia 8000, Pave Zambia 2000″. Why not combine the 2 and say LINK-PAVE ZAMBIA 10000?

  20. chishimba  January 17, 2013 at 17:08

Sata is actually the biggest tribalist Zambia has ever produced. Live HH alone. Under the PF, Zambia has been taken back to UNIP days. We are now witnessing a primitive type of politics. Do not divert people’s attention by attacking HH. Your failures have nothing to do with HH. Problems are increasing and the president is busy persecuting political opponents. It is like chasing rats when the house is on fire! Sata will reap what is sowing today.

  21. Boga  January 17, 2013 at 16:17

These are plans being drafted by Atan Shansonga who was asked via Guy Scott through his sister. The projects are all labour intensive and will continue some projects will be worth nothing. Sata loves cosmetic solutions while nothing is seriously done by the time you wake up to the deeper issue he will have departed and you are left arguing what he has done with most pointing to his cosmetic projects as great achievement
