Namulambe resigns

Namulambe in PF attire

Mpongwe MP Gabriel Namulambe has resigned from the MMD. Namulambe was due to resign and join PF next Saturday but exposure has forced him to bring forward his action.

The Watchdog has also been informed that president Michael Sata has ordered DPP Mutembo Nchito to enter a nolle prosecui in the cases where Namulambe is facing charges of stealing bicycles.

When announcing his resignation at the PF secretariat, Namulambe claimed that   before he joined the PF, the MMD had lost direction and that the MMD was not following its own party constitution.

He said he  he was disappointed with the manner in which Richard  Kachingwe hounded of the MMD as National Secretary.

He also claimed that the MMD National Executive Committee (NEC) did not make the quorum when they expelled him Kachingwe from the party. He said according to MMD constitution the NEC is supposed of 64 members and they needed about 32 to form a quorum but when the MMD NEC meet they were 32 and among the 32 some members were absent with apologies and some members were not members of the NEC.

He said that he had never asked for a job from the PF. But what he wants is to be become a member of the ruling PF party.

“ I Gabriel Namulambe have decided to resign with immediate effect with all the party functions in MMD I have resigned them also” he said.

If a person who invested their entire energy and to build the mmd shOuld resign, better they concetrate on their personal life than running to a “rival party” which they had been condeming. This way one has some credibility. Namulambe has given up all the respect he had as a politcian by his own directionless action. I do not think that pf will take him seriously. wynter

Zambian politics is about defections. MMD defected from UNIP.UPND, PF , FDD, ZADECO, ADD etc all defected from MMD so why are we surprised?

      • oga  December 13, 2012 at 18:05

PF commands support in heavily populated provinces thats why its imposible for HH to be president of zambia with sp and here and there in wp and nwp.only.

        • Zaza  December 13, 2012 at 18:57

Which heavily populated areas are you talking about?

          You lost in Livingstone.

Its only in villages where you corrupt and threaten villagers with hunger and no development.

Pa Fwaka cadres, what a shame.

PF AND MMD ARE THE SAME SIMPLE. BOTH ARE FULL OF THIEVES, ONE THIEF INVITING ANOTHER THIEF TO START STEALING TOGETHER AS IT WAS IN THE PAST; REMEMBER MICHAEL SATAN WAS MMD SG, HE KNOWNS THE WEAK ONES

    • Honest  December 13, 2012 at 15:28

No it is PF and some weak minded MMD MPs.

      • Bull  December 13, 2012 at 16:45

  26. Honest  December 13, 2012 at 14:47

Politics of poverty. He is admitting that he stole the bicycles. MCS is his cleansing agent.

  27. PRM  December 13, 2012 at 14:38

Just thinking aloud! Is this shameless behaviour by our politicians a result of our culture, upbringing or poor school curriculam which does not prepare our learners on issues of basic morals, ethics, and other life skills. This is a serious problem which really needs attention at a serious level. There is no way that educated human beings could just exhibit such kind of treacherous and selfish behaviour and society just considers it as normal. How can such human beings be trusted with leadership when its a no-brainer to tell that they do not mean anything they say?

    • magesi  December 13, 2012 at 17:28

Yes these things are inherent in tribes that is why Barotseland wants to leave.

    • @PRM
I ask myself the same question time and again! It is indeed a very serious issue that needs addressing for the common good of our country. I tend to believe that the root problem for this the apparent poverty levels of the nation. My observations, having been raised in Zambia and benefited from observing life in the UK, is that we generally get a sound grounding on morality issues which easily help with ethical issues but the desire to feed our insatiable appetite to be “seen” to have it all (for those with access) and just a basic need to survive for the rest is what breaks our moral fibre in Zambian society. The UK does not have such grounding in cultural upbringing of children and yet the moral fibre of politicitians is much engrained (not totally) and politics are based on idiologies and not “bellies”….
Answers to change this are not easy available but I am tempted to propose a new political party starting with bloggers here and see the calibre of interest we get and create idiologies that we can take to the people in Zambia.

    • Fremen  December 13, 2012 at 17:55

Its like you read my mind! It is annoying how there seems to be no morals in our politicians!

  28. chris banda  December 13, 2012 at 14:34

very sad indeed. politics of poverty not of serving the masses that voted them. Its xmas time again. With this by election money won’t b a problem. Shame on u namulambe. U look good outside but u are rotten in yo brains. I rest my case.

  31. munyimba  December 13, 2012 at 14:23

these people should first of all pay back what they ow the Zambians before running to the ruling party for security.Other wise Pf will eventually have a crop of bad people.

  32. chocholi dofey  December 13, 2012 at 14:20

Seeking solace in pf wont help you anything ba Namulabe. Truely where has the desire come from of serving pf? I wish the people of Mpongwe can vote for someone elise so he can know that its not good to play around with peoples minds. Who do you think you are? Don’t take people for granted and please learn to appreciate the little you have on table.
Nowonder you went to state house around midnight to talk about development of defecting to pwele fusiko!

  33. Jack Lombe  December 13, 2012 at 14:08

  35. KK boys  December 13, 2012 at 14:01

This is what PF calls running the nation. No development agenda, just politicking – stone age politics for that matter.

  36. Jack Lombe  December 13, 2012 at 14:00

When I was tipped during the Mufumbwe by-election that Namulambe and Kachingwe are some of the moles for PF in MMD I thought the guy who tipped me was mad , now I am mau-less. Ba MMD there more moles on the PF payroll, you flush them out. Good luck!

  40. Jamela  December 13, 2012 at 13:50

All the corrupt and thieves who stole money under the former government are seeking sanctuary in pf so that their cases are dropped. In the end this party shall become more corrupt, though the president is claiming to be allergic to corruption. I wish the people of Mpongwe could teach this fool a lesson by voting for another person who is not a prostitute.

  41. Yamunyokola Njala  December 13, 2012 at 13:50

He has joined PF because he wants to freed from his theft case. Is sata really allergic to corruption?? I think he is allergic to the truth!

  42. Lwalwa  December 13, 2012 at 13:50
