Now fuel shortage hits Chipata

A critical fuel shortage has hit parts of Eastern Province, particularly Chipata resulting in long queues blocking the Umodzi highway in the area.

This morning all four service stations checked have run-out of fuel, especially petrol resulting in people packing their vehicles at filling stations.

But PF leadership in the area have blamed oil marketing companies of sympathising with the opposition to cause confuse through fuel shortage.

The shortage has also affected the transport sector in the area with buses parking or taking advantage by increasing fares.

The Opposition are not ruling, so don’t blame them. Stop looking for scapegoats and get down to addressing problems, that’s you’re in govt.

Zambians now going through more difficulties than during MMD time, but they have gone to slumber. I feel pity for this country. PF has taken advantage of illiteracy and poverty to rule this country.

We have no direction but people cant see that becoz we are used to being in slave camps. When people are in slave camps for a long time it is difficult to remove them from there.

I thought the opposition is fragmented. How can they swiftly and undetected manage to orchestrate such an elaborate scheme of working with millers and OMCs at the same time? All of it undetected until it’s too late? All that even when GBM, the chief security official is also a prominent miller?

Let me tell you something, Sata has jst been in Government for slightly over 1 year. He is already getting hold of NW province. Chongwe is under PF. He has started Link Africa already, very soon overfly roads will soon be in Zambia, Livingstone is being changed by tarring all roads, UNZA is being renovated (you pass through UNZA and see)for the first time. UNZA is being tarmaced. Kitwe to chingola will be dual carriage. Sata is very patient, he has allowed vending so that a solution is found for them. He is passionate. They have $750m bond. Chirwa is CEO for Zambia railways. He has implimated the minimum wage. Upgrading certain towns to district level. Building of Kazungula bridge to commence soon. Country wide drainage system tO be overhauled. Such things as shortage of mealie meal and water blues at UTH are very very temporal setbacks. It is useless to politise such. I know they will normalise soon. Now how much money the PF will spend over these projects and more and compared to previous governments? New University is being built right now for Zambian citizens. This is just one year. In two years from now critics of Sata won’t be talking because they will see for themselves. Guys what more do you from someone who has been there for only a a year. HONEST i am sorry for mentioning Tongas. I have a lot Tonga friends more than any other. In all tribes we have bad and good people. So am sorry, I was just carried away because one of your tribesmen insulted bembas as thieves and i got annoyed. Its not a bemba who stole K2 billion and hide at the farm. All tribes have thieves. I am not PF but lets judge them after 5 years.

      • CCN  November 24, 2012 at 09:55

What did you eat in MMD? Maybe you were stealing

    • Michael wade  November 23, 2012 at 23:10

You fool.sata is giving his wife over a billion kwacha …she is not a government employee nor is she elected.she is just a party cadre who happens to be living at state house.farmers have not been payed ,fuel shortage, maize shortage, water shortage. And yet there is enough money to build a 2 billion kwacha house for a president who has just been in power for a year. And why do past presidents have to have houses build for them. Only country in the world that does it. The presidents have a pension let them build there own houses with there own money.where were they living before they come into power.
Am just sick of people trying to portray Sata in a good light when he is the worst president Zambia has ever had the unfortunate opportunity to elect.

    • Tioneko  November 23, 2012 at 20:08

UPND can only be worried if they were in power and not delivering. Why should any party apart from the ruling party be worried? Be logical! Upnd/Mmd/Narep have nothing to lose in all this mayhem. Amambala abaa mwati!

  20. bigster  November 23, 2012 at 13:47

  22. Lwalwa  November 23, 2012 at 13:41

I dont blame you Chipata residents, you always vote with your brains.

Its so sad you are suffering for the sins of your brainless cousins on the other side.

    • INSHIMBI  November 23, 2012 at 13:44

plizz it’s not about voting..get civilsed alaaah!

      • Lwalwa  November 23, 2012 at 14:07

It is squarely about voting. There was non of such labishi when we had a performing government just over a year ago. This malaise only started after your type voted for a so called ‘man of action’. Grow up and accept your errors otherwise you will never ever be able to address them…
Problem solving begins with identifying the problem…so dont stay in denial for too long.

      • Mwange  November 23, 2012 at 14:23

its all abot voting iwe pompwe

    • CCN  November 24, 2012 at 09:54

Lwalwa don’t be naive. Waste your frustration elsewhere. Tell your president to campaign so that he wins in 2050 because in 2016, he will kiss the dust. I know which party you belong to and it is strictly in Southern something of something in southern africa.
