PF is the world’s Casablanca for crooks- Amsterdam

I note with regret the ill-considered statements made today by President of Zambia Michael Sata concerning former President Rupiah and opposition leaders Nevers Mumba and Hakainde Hichilema.

For a man who is suing people for millions of dollars for allegedly defaming him by talking about corruption, President Sata sure has a twisted sense of the presumption of innocence.

Former President Banda doesn’t need go anywhere to find “criminal asylum” – judging by the conduct of people like Kabimba, GBM, and Kapoko, right now the PF is the world’s Casablanca for crooks.

But the fact remains that President Sata’s government has violated the law by issuing an illegal summons, they have deprived the former president of any chance of fair hearings by making wildly prejudicial statements, and have made a mockery out of due process with this blatantly politically motivated defamation campaign that doesn’t even rest on a single concrete allegation.

The problem with President Sata is that he knows the outcome he wants – the destruction of the multiparty system – but fails to understand that you can’t bend and mold the legal system to achieve such political goals.

Thank you and kind regards
Robert Amsterdam

Why were you complaining about RB when he was in office after being brain washed by your PFost?

  2. chola  February 15, 2013 at 08:27

He’s got insider information after being privy to how much RB and sons have looted in a short space of time as their ‘lawyer’, he probably thinks all Zambians are crooks! Crooks usually get consoled when they find out others are more crooked than they are. In this case, this crook feels like an angel compared to RB and his ilk ( other corrupt Zambian politicians?)!

For those questioning Amsterdam’s tactics of using the media to attack the ruling cartel, you must understand that Sata and his people like M’membe have started a trial by media and the only way to respond is likewise use the media. Sata is day in day out defaming other people while suing all those defaming him. The scene is akin to two pugilists in the ring with one having their hands tied while the other is left free to pummel the opponent. What’s for sure is that Amsterdam is a smart politician. He has slowly but very surely built a dossier on the PF which will one day be presented to international courts such as the ICC. More and more evidence is being collected against the PF but Sata, Kabimba and company appear too dull to read where all this is heading towards.

PF is having sleepless nights. For how long are you going to be hiding?
PF, these are not colonial times when news took days, months or years to reach the other neck of the woods. Today the international community of human rights are watching every violation on democratic principles of our humanity.
Let the rule of law deal with RB and PF should stop popping its nose, considering that, they have already made up the outcome when the case is not in court yet.
Looking in PF’s eyes, I see tribalism, violation of human rights, unfair justice system, intimidation, oppression and not following the masterpiece’ the Constitution.
Taking people’s rights for granted by PF regime won’t continue going on without any challenge from real democrats, human rights advocates seeking justice. Today the world community is informed on a basis of every mili second. Don’t think your violation of liberties are not been judged by the international community.
PF people trusted you with your promises which you foolishly failed to fulfill. It is you PF who promised our suffering voters more money in their pockets, jobs, development, constitution, implementation of BA 64, and swore to respect the rule of law in 90 days. Yes, it is you PF who did not keep to fulfill but broke every promise. Now the people are questioning you PF, where is your integrity?
Its you who went on misguiding people with a none existance word of “Donchi” in any lingo of a thesaurus. Now the none existance “donchi” is on your broken platter. Its you PF who is failing the people because you did not stick to your words which can not pass for a noun. Again PF, your the ones denying people the freedom of assembly, the one who is violating human rights.
Learn to work with your citizens, but when they advise you antagonistally to PF’s views, you become bitter. Should advise be removed from our lives then?

  12. Pimbi Mano  February 14, 2013 at 22:55

Some of the comments are clearly being made by PF cadres at home and abroad. What does one expect from cadres that are benefiting from the current government.

Someone has just informed me that most of the diplomats in Zambian Missions have been asked to read the WatchDog and Lusaka Times and post as many insults as possible. They have also been instructed to post blogs that are again President Banda and the major opposition leaders.

One such diplomat is based in the London Mission and was brought in a Press Secretary. The gentleman is London not to do anything else but monitor the postings on a daily basis and to protect the clan. The said gentleman hates other tribes and only speaks in English and Bemba.

How are wish someone can publish a list of all the PF cadres serving in our Mission abroad so that that one day they can also be made to account for their sins committed on behalf of the PF government

I have never and will never be a tribalist, this government is now forcing some of us to doubt if Zambia is still a Nation.

    • TRT  February 15, 2013 at 09:17

Equally, some of the Anti-PF comments are made by RB benefiviaries, UPND tribalists and the like.

    • cynic  February 15, 2013 at 09:23

The problem with Sata is that he cant hold a press conference so that people can question him. When he goes to parliament he cant again read a prepared statement. He takes everything for comedy. When is he ever going to be serious for once? Really does the country deserve this? When is this ” play for today” ever going to be taken off our TV screens?

Vulansapato u are very dull. Armsterdam is forced to comment because the head of state is already passing judgement on RB and the others. Now did you ever hear LPM passing silly comments daily on FTJ’s cases? If he did as sata is doing, then chiluba’s lawyers could have written something for sure. Were u born yesterday for u not to remember how levy left everything to the courts without any influence? Ask a sangoma in india what u should eat to strengthen your memory

  26. Advocate  February 14, 2013 at 18:22

May Heaven smile @ RB,his family,NM,HH.may hell be crushed in the favor of Freedoms of our human dignity.

  27. Kwaza  February 14, 2013 at 18:22

Mr Sata wants to fix RB for discontinuing the court cases of Chiluba (MHSRIP) who was Sata’s sworn enemy. Who dribled him when Levy was picked for Presidence instead of him after the failed third term campaign. But RB explained how expensive it was for the country to run the cases and to maintain the Task Force which was deliberately draging Chiluba’s cases. RB with imperical evidence clearly told the Nation why he was not ready to support the Task Force whose interest was above that of their nation. So Sata is not alone wanting the blood of RB. Those who lost an income when Task Force was disolved are also bitter and in the team. Therefore Sata needs to call a religeous person and speak out his bitterness or he should call a psycologist who should help re-orient his perception of Chiluba and RB. Thank Mr President if you will listen.

You started well but lost it in your Bemba tirade, many Bembas are victims of Sata, well meaning Bembas can’t support Satas nonsense on RB why aim for RB and leave Kabimba? You honestly expect an educated Bemba to support such rubbish?
Wrong is wrong wether done by Tonga or Bemba.

BUT I PRAY THAT YOU TAKE OUT TRIBES FROM YOUR TONE BECAUSE WHEN YOU ATTACK A TRIBE, AFFECTED PEOPLE TEND TO SUPPORT THE TRIBE RATHER THAN COMMON SENSE.

SO THE NET EFFECT OF THESE ATTACKS ON THE BEMBA TRIBE IS THAT THEY SIDE WITH EACH OTHER EVEN THEY ARE WRONG. IT IS A HUMAN INSTICT, THOUGH IT MAY BE WRONG ONE. EVEN IN MEDIAVAL AND PREHISTORIC TIMES PEOPLE SIDED WITH THEIR ETHNIC GROUPINGS IN ATTACKING OTHERS, THOUGH IT WAS WRONG.

Chiluba was in court for years, did we ever read about Sangwa or SC Bonaventure or SC Malambo’s articles anywhere? is that how law is practiced in the UK? i have my doubts!

    • Vilifier  February 14, 2013 at 17:37

        • Kays  February 14, 2013 at 19:23

the case is not in court, so in a country with freedom of expression anyone is alright saying what they can defend. You can not stop him from commenting as tat would count as infringing on his freedom of speech

          • HH-VULANSAPATO  February 14, 2013 at 20:46

i respect your opinion sir…but i also find it strange that a lawyer (& i doubt if he can be admitted to the bar in Zambia) should be arguing his points through ZWD for that matter. i think that there are better lawyers out there than this DIK-FACE!

        • Moomba giant  February 14, 2013 at 21:09

HH vulansapato you are illiterate very dull, go to school and study law, then pass yo silly comments. leave the lawyer alone, leave RB, nevers and HH alone. Difference with FTJ is that Banda has not been sued yet. So people are free to say whatever they like. Wooooooo

    • Mus Juke  February 14, 2013 at 20:28

HH-VULANSAPATO – The case against RB is only in the “Court of Public Opinion” and no other court, at least not for now! The prosecution, comprising Mmembe, has been laying the case against RB and their arguments have so far gone uncontested! Dear old Amsterdam is right by also defending his client within the same court, the “Court of Public Opinion.” He would be a foolish lawyer to let the “prosecution” dictate this case without challenge!

      • HH-VULANSAPATO  February 14, 2013 at 21:01

CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG, IT IS ONLY LOGICAL TO HIRE A LAWYER WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF SOME OFFENCE – WHY HAS RB HIRED A LAWYER EVEN BEFORE HE IS TAKEN TO COURT? HIRING A DOCTOR BEFORE YOU ARE SICK MAKES SENSE NOT A LAWYER BEFORE YOU COMMIT A CRIME…..SOMETHING IS FISHY HERE OR AM I MISSING A POINT?

        • Moomba giant  February 14, 2013 at 21:21

HH Vulansapato- 4yo own information if you think HH azakavula nsapato, you will die with your hate 4HH. He wont, he has money not even tax payers money but money from his brilliance. RB hired a lawyer because of u jealous guyz. zambia does not became yours alone because u ar in power watch out

        • Mus Juke  February 14, 2013 at 21:54

HH-VULANSAPATO – you are exhibiting tremendous and extreme amounts of ignorance! Anyone can have a lawyer on a retainer, for a whole series of reasons — not just when accused of an offence. You can retain a lawyer for contract negotiations in business. You can retain a lawyer to seek legal opinion on a personal (or civil) matter, such as when chasing after someone who owes you money, or if you want to contest where you feel you have been “harmed”. So having a lawyer on a retainer does not mean you are guilty of any crime.

          • HH-VULANSAPATO  February 14, 2013 at 22:16

so which business interests is your much adored lawyer trying to protect on behalf of his client? learn to compare apples to apples mr. the most educated! this guy is just one of those international crooks bent on swindling former corrupt African leaders….i don’t admire your education if all it means is boot-licking economic terrorist like this chap! thanks…
