Sata’s dog selling son now Lusaka deputy mayor

Dictator Michael Sata’ son Mulenga has been imposed as deputy mayor after a stage managed councilors’s election in Lusaka.

Mulenga Sata was supposed to take over as mayor just after his father won the presidency but exposure by the Watchdog derailed the imposition in the family forest.
To give the imposition of the dictator’ son as deputy mayor a semblance of election, a Joyce Banda was put on the list as challeneger but she was not even campaigning.
Before his father became president, Mulenga Sata was selling dogs for a living.
According to insiders, Mulenga has been imposed on the Lusaka local authority to take care of his father’s numerous properties in Lusaka.

    • Mwansa  December 26, 2012 at 06:50

When are we ever going to be objective? What’s wrong with Mulenga being elected D/mayor? The fact tht he is the president’s son does not bar him from holding any civil job!
Give him a chance to prove himself. As long as he can deliver, that’s all wat matters!
    Congrats Mulenga!!!!!!!

Now i know,. The race is not to the swift nor batle to the strong ….. but time and chance happen to them all. If a dog seller can be deputy mayor then ii can’t imagine what will become most bloggers. Surely there is hope for someone

Well, I don’t support Sata but the story of His engineer Son selling dogs and yet he is an engineer speaks something great about this guy. He seems to an independent and self made Man. Yes, they might have broken protocol to usher him as deputy Mayor but I see something positive about him. Most of our leaders Children are spoiled and behave recklessly. His story is a touching one and him choosing to start as a counselor really should be appreciated. I’m MMD but this one I support. Viva MMD.

    • Gondwe  December 26, 2012 at 06:57

Don pretend. Yo are a pure breen PF thug from Muchinga. The story is only touching to monkeys like you. Serious pipo know that national leadership should be left to serious minded people not dog sellers.
By the way if selling puppies is so profitable, why did he abandon his business a day after his father was elected?
The chap had no choice but to sell stolen dogs. He could not compete in the engineering world because there you need brains

In Guean Bissau the vice president is the son of that country’s president. Nearly all Ministries are headed by other sons, brothers, uncles and relatives (BBC). Poor zambia heads to such rubbish governance. Lusaka streets full of faeces the dirtiest of all africans are really dirty animals.

  34. Dr. Savimbi  December 25, 2012 at 00:45

CONGRATS LCC COUNCILLORS FOR ELECTING A DOG SELLER AS DEPUTY MAYOR. WE NEED SUCH PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE IN PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUES LIKE DOG MANAGEMENT. THE CITY WILL BE SAFE AND NO STRAY DOGS WILL BE EXPECTED. AS FOR THE BACKGROUND, WE NEED SUCH HUMBLE SERVANTS OF THE PEOPLE. ITS BETTER TO HAVE A BACKGROUND OS DOG SELLING THAN DRUG DEALING OR MOTOR VEHICLE THIEF. BEING UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE PRESIDENT’S OFFSPRING SHOULD NOT BE A SIN TO DEPRIVE ONE OF HIS/HER RIGHTS AS A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY. GIVE HIM SUPPORT

    • The Don  December 26, 2012 at 13:31

work on drainages and get rid of vendors… towns are filthy!!

  38. Big Brother  December 24, 2012 at 22:17

This article is not sexy at all, if he was selling dogs so what? we all come from different backgrounds and dog business is not urgly, if u said he was selling dog michopo to unsuspecting customers then that could have been a story to tell not this crap, besides dog selling can also a good idea to the unemployed. this is our country gentlemen character assassination will never take us anywhere. sata needs our support now condeming each and every step he takes will not help any of us but a few power hungry individuals and the five years he will spend in state house will affect be a worst of our time and our resources. let us move this country forward. yes together we can. happy x-mas to all

Most Zambians ar ignorant! Com on guys, if Sata could buy MPs 4rm MMD do u think it wud be hard 4 him 2 convince his own councilors 2 vote 4 his son as deputy mayor. Whoever is arguing to this fact is foolish & is poor in their thinking capacity. period.
