Zambian Footballer of the year to be crowned tonight

The 2012 Zambian Footballer of the Year will be crowned on Wednesday at an MTN gala evening where the Faz president will be joined by the “whose is who” of Zambian football and Republican Vice President Dr Guy Scott who will be the guest of honour.

Also expected is Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili, the top brass of sponsors MTN, sports council, FAZ life members and executive committee members and other distinguished invited guests.

Zesco United striker Jackson Mwanza and the Power Dynamos midfield duo of Mukuka Mulenga and Joseph Sitali are in the running for the Zambian Player of the Year Award.

Added to the final three footballer of the year finalists, the young player award, coach of the year and best referees will be honored.

Nkana’s Ronald Kampamba will receive the top scorer award for his 14 league goals in the ended MTN Super League.

The 2012 MTN Zambian Coach of the Year

Keegan Mumba, Beston Chambeshi, Masauso Mwale.

The 2012 MTN Best Referee of Year

Janny Sikazwe, Gladys Lengwe, Wellington Kaoma.

The 2012 MTN Best Assistant Referee of the Year

Bruno Tembo, Collins Kafwembe, Diana Chikotesha.
