Charles Banda confirms being sacrificed for old Munkombwe

Muchinga province deputy minister Charles Banda yesterday confirmed that he was leaving the province for his new appointment as Zambia’s new High Commissioner to Malawi.

Mr. Banda who could not elaborate said president Michael Sata has sent him to Malawi.

The Watchdog yesterday revealed that Mr. Sata has appointed a fellow old relic Daniel Munkombwe as the new Minister for Southern province after he (Munkombwe) made some nice sound-bites of denouncing the UPND on tribal lines that were good to Mr. Sata’s ears.

Mr. Sata has reached a sealing on the list of eight nominated MPs and had to sacrifice the youthful Banda to accommodate his old people’s home in PF by appointing Munkombwe.

  5. I have read alot of concerns over respect on top but the elders that I used to leave with taught me one thing, they said respect comes as a result of you as an individual making decisions that will progress others and they should pick up some sense in atleast every word you speak, otherwise even the infants shall laugh at you despite having grey hair. remove respect, let everyone put in their expectations from these guys (old), to which extent are they helping us progress?????

  13. Politics of the belly. Emulate the former Pope, Mandela, and others who have left for others to take over. This retirement age issue should be employed in politics. Eventually you find that someone aged 55 years is still a cadre and called a youth. All top positions are held by those in their eleventh hour.

    • So popes are also politicians? I thought they are annointed men of God who vow to serve Him till death. What happened is a rare case in the history of catholism and I don’t know why you have brought this issue on such a topic.

    • If you want respect from young ones you must first respect them in turn they will give you respect unlike the foolish behaviour of Daniel Munkombwe.

      • Not even that, if u want respect you shud first respect yourself. Munkombwe is not respecting himself. He is therefore stupid

    • I like Tongas. They don’t tolerate nonsense. This is one section of Zambia where if a politician is useless cannot make it. They choose their leaders on merit unlike some of us…as long as niba kumaba we sing pelete along. This time around i will not vote on party lines. I will surely cast my vote on HH. He is more sobre
