Now Kabwe also runs out of mealie meal, cement

A critical shortage of mealie meal and cement has rocked Kabwe District, the Provincial Headquarters of Central Province.

ZANIS reports that long queues where noted at most retail shops and Millers premises for the commodities especially at National Milling Limited while at other retail shops such as Shoprite had nothing.

Meanwhile, unscrupulous entrepreneurs took advantage of the situation to buy in the bulk the commodities which they ,later sold at a profit to unsuspecting consumers.

A fleet of four by four vehicles such as Toyota Canters were found at the National Milling Business outlet in Kabwe stocking the commodity straight from the National Milling truck.

Individual customers were not accorded a chance to purchase the scarce commodity until after all the business agents had made their orders.

At railways Market, a few shops that had the Mealie-Meal in stock were selling at K68, 000 per 25KG bags while in Bwacha Mealie-meal the commodity was going at K70, 000 per 25KG bag.

Meanwhile, cement prices have also upped following a severe shortage .

Zambezi Portland is the only type of Cement available in town and it is only found at one outlet called Mapalo Enterprises.

A check by ZANIS this morning found the substance selling at K65, 000 per pocket.

  5. The problem that sata has is he acts before thinking (to borrow one of his favorite phrases when in opposition). he thinks running a country is all about issuing decrees…has can turn every street into a district if he wants…but that wont change the material conditions of the people!!! You have to think…man…think hard…man! This is not a job for grade 2s!

Your decrees are as useless as the commissions you appointed last year!

More plagues are coming your way! You, in your usual unthinking way proclaimed that you shall rule by the ten commandments! God is a merciful, but also patient and decisive God. He will be sending you plague after plague to remind you!!!

  9. ‘Hypocrites’ false playing and false worship make the sweet Spirit of God angry and cause His fury to break out.’

‘Every lie mocks the person who hears it, because the liar makes a fool of him by cheating him of the truth.’

‘Of all sinners the hypocrite does the most harm in this world and therefore will have the most torment in the other world.’

Of these  Hypocrites par excellence: abrasive Sata; wailing Telesphore Mpundu under a White collar; hypnotic Mmembe or Fwaza Bwalya the blackmailer, which one is worse? They are all full mouths with empty hearts, rainless clouds.

  13. What do you in such a stuatuon. You can’t even hold a Press, for what. The best thing to do is go into a toilet and start crying. After which you create more districts thereby increasing the budget. When the budget becomes too big you leave the Country and ruaway , actually hide in Mbeya and wish to die there soonest.

  22. Ezron, you are really dull. the zambian premier league is telling you that chitalu scored these goals in the 1972 zambian league games + international matches. what has nursery school got to do with this? you are the muzungu anikonde type of guys,so brainwashed that when you start talking with a white guy,you even change your accent. i will tell you another thing, this fight about chitalu has been there for a long time. i remember in the 80s as a small boy,my uncle told me about this record. so people ave been talking and trying to get it recognised since then. but its fools like you who keep watching english premier league, spanish and italian that you forget your own. how would you know about chitalu when your focus is arsenal or is it chelsea. knowing the history of these clubs by heart, knowing the transfers of player from time in memorial by heart. but am glad fifa has somewhat opnened your eyes. they dont want to recognise our chitalu and if you have any brains at all you will start to see that abalwani will not respect your own(chitalu) compared to theirs(messi, barcelon, chelsea). but you will still blindly follow the chelseas of this world. why spend all the money on beers watching english premier league? instead of using that money to buy a ticket for 10-15 pin at the gate at woodlands to watch national assembly play zesco or some other games in zambia. when Ezron did you last watch a local league game and dont cheat us here? be patriotic, no english man or spanish man is watching your league later on even buying your players with a few exceptions. even when we are african champions, they still wont get our players. just watch congo zaire league if you want international matches. be patriotic. so corrupt you are. even your name is borrowed. Ezron. why cant you get a zambian name? where is your pride. show me any chinese, british, american who has a zambian name? they will only have it if and only if they were zambians turned american, british e.t.c. in short there is no white man with a zambian name in israel, spain or britain. when kanshi will you people learn? am tired of this ignorance. Even your identity sure such as a name is also taken? kwena mulampapusha!!!
